Fellows of the Society
are members who have given meritorious service in Weed
Science, nominated by their peers, and are elected by
the Executive Committee.
Outstanding Weed
Scientist
This award is given to
active members of our Society who have made significant
contributions to the Weed Science profession and to the
WSWS.
Honorary Member
Honorary members are
individuals whose activities have been largely from
outside the WSWS and who have significantly contributed
to the field of weed science, and who are elected by
two-thirds majority of the Executive Committee.
Presidential Award
of Merit
This award is conferred
upon a member of the Society who has demonstrated
distinguished service.
Student Contest
The student paper and
poster contests awards are generally presented at the Thursday morning
business meeting during the annual meeting. In addition,
undergraduate poster participants are also encouraged to
attend and present their research projects.
